.This year the Cross Country team is led by Senior Matt Bartels and sophomore Cece Gross with strong reserve raisers in Joey Bartels, Christian Solis, Nathan Wardin, and Sophia Moskal.  Mr. Bartels, the Cross Country Coach for his 21st year (eleven with Nouvel and 10 with Heritage), is very impressed with the team this year as the boys have a full team. He hopes there might be more interest for the ladies team, as currently they only have two runners.

“Were looking for the guys to place at the county meet and hopefully get a spot at the regionals” said Bartels.

The Team has had three invites so far placing last, second and seventh. In the most recent invite Matt Bartels placed 2nd among 70 runners and Cece Gross 19th among 56. While Christian Solis and Nathan Wardin both placed personal best while Joey Bartels, Cece Gross and Sophia Moskal have placed there season best so far.
