“And with the first pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select… Baker Mayfield out of the University of Oklahoma.” says NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell. Some big takeaways from this years NFL Draft was the surprising first pick. The Browns were projected to take quarterback Sam Darnold or running back Saquon Barkley with their pick, so their pick surprised just about everyone watching. In addition, this years draft included five quarterbacks taken in the very first round, something that has never been done before. Additionally, this years draft class is considered by many to be one of the best in awhile. It is composed of so much talent and potential. For example, running back Saquon Barkley will have a lot of responsibility in New York this season as they are depending on him to improve their teams run game and try to bring them back into the playoffs. The rookies this year will have a lot to prove from their hype.
