Senior Catherine Charlton said, “We are a young team, with so much talent, and I really see us coming together this season. We are much more than a team, we are family.” In their recent match-up against Saginaw High, they went head to head in a total of three games, effortlessly winning all 3. The team has been led by the same assistant coach for three years, who is very close with the girls, and even has a daughter on the team, sophomore Riley Cho.

In addition to Sophomore Cho, there are also five Freshman as well. “The girls are really stepping up to play at a varsity level, coming straight from middle school competition. They have lots of courage, and don’t back down from a challenge. I’m really proud of them” said Charlton.

The girls were supposed to have a tournament this weekend at Reese High school, but sadly, the tournament was cancelled. Their next game will be next Monday at St. Charles High school. Said Charlton, “(St. Charles) is pretty good and will give us good competition, but I think it will be a good test to our team. I believe we can come together and beat them in the end.”
