As the season is winding down, our FNV boys hockey team have been on a little break without any games in the past two weeks. Their wins trump their loses with a 9-7-1 record. Looking ahead, the Griffins have a big game coming up against the Titans for their chance at redemption. The puck drops at 7pm on February 18th. Senior Jordan Tafel states, “We are going to keep practicing and preparing for it as best as we can.” The game will be played at Saginaw Bay Ice Area and FNV will be the home team (students do not have to pay to get in as long as they have their school IDs). Looking even further ahead, playoffs begin on March 2nd in Flint. The Griffins are anxiously waiting to see who the winner will be of the Heritage (ranked #19 in the state) vs. Flint Powers (ranked #3 in the state) game. FNV picked a first round bye so they will be playing the winner. Their next game will be this Wednesday February 1st vs. the Thunder. Puck drops at 7pm in Bay City.
