Green bean casserole is the best side dish. What makes it so good? It’s healthy and appetizing. Of course, the most common answer to favorite side dish is mashed potatoes, but if we’re being honest, who doesn’t secretly love green bean casserole? Some people will see this and think “What kind of food does this kid eat?”, but you know this is the clear-cut dish that everyone is expecting to be on the Thanksgiving table so they can dive in. Not only is the dish great, but it’s extremely easy to make. Hopefully, after reading this you’ll go home and hint to mom to make sure the classic green bean casserole is somewhere on your Thanksgiving dinner menu.

Only a disgusting human being would pick something like some sort of casserole as their favorite Thanksgiving side dish. I mean mashed potatoes is the GOAT (greatest of all time) side dish, hands down. The consistency of it is so smooth and it always tastes so good. Honestly, Thanksgiving is not really Thanksgiving without mashed potatoes. I am pretty sure the pilgrims ate it right? Like, if you research the annals of American history you can find pilgrims eating it right? It is historic, and no Thanksgiving meal would be complete without it.
