UPDATE: Congratulations!! The Panthers competed at the DeWitt Invitational this past Saturday, finishing in 1st place with an “Award of Achievement” in marching, music, and percussion for class D (school enrollment under 400). Their score of 77.4 was the highest in school history and put them overall in 7th place out of the 17 bands (all class levels) in competition.

Here come the Marching Panthers. It’s that time of the year again that the band will be taking its talents down to Dewitt High School in Dewitt, Michigan for the annual Dewitt Band Invitational. This event will take place on Saturday, October 15th. The Nouvel Band this year will be playing pieces from the movie “High School Musical.” The band is conducted by Mr. David Valasek and two seniors Charley Hengesbach and Ellie Hirschman. They have been working very hard to perfect the performance and are excited to go out there and give it there best shot. The Marching Panthers are notorious for bringing back the first place trophy and are looking forward to bringing it back home. If you have never been to one of these competitions, it is highly encouraged to participate. Even though that it is a long drive, you will not be disappointed, and you will get to see some of the greatest bands in the state going head to head against each other.  Also if you go to Harvey’s Restaurant on October 17, and present your server with the flyer that is attached, 15% of your bill will go to the Nouvel Catholic Central High School Band.
