The Nouvel Varsity Cross Country team did very well at Regionals on Friday (10/28) at Chippewa Hills. Sophomores Rodney Iamurri (8th out of 68 runners) and Sean O’Grady took home medals, qualifying for the final meet on Saturday (11/5) at MIS in Brooklyn, Michigan. This is Rodney’s second year in a row qualifying for the State Finals. Sean had a personal best time of 18 minutes and 34 seconds for the 5K run. Seniors Colin Kaul, Thomas Kolleth, and Jacob Miros all had season-best times, a great way to end their high school cross country careers. Sophomore Sydney Leslie led the girls’ team and finished 20th overall out of 61 runners. Great job, Panthers! Come and cheer on Rodney and Sean at the State Final meet on Saturday, November 5th, at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan!
