Golf Update

Last Tuesday, May 10th, our boys golf team placed fourth out of ten teams at counties. Sophomore Jack Grant lead the Nouvel’s team and medaled overall. On May 13th, last Friday, the boys took fifth place out of sixteen teams at a tournament in Farwell, Michigan. Jack Grant also had the highest score for this tournaments as well. With districts coming up, the team is focusing on keeping their game strong. Senior Blake Heinz feels confident that the team will perform well for upcoming matches, “I think we can definitely take the district title again this year. What we really need to focus on is qualifying for states and playing consistently.” Overall, the team feels like they made some major improvements over the season as senior, Alex LaFave as “I’ve improved so much over these past months, my golf game has really gotten better with more practice!” So now all that the golf boys have to do now is concentrate on their consistency with their game and they can go far, potentially to states!
