All good things must come to an end

Sadly the Panthers were not able to hold onto their perfect record. Improving to 16-2 the panthers swept Vassar 9-5 and 7-1 with outstanding pitching from Payton Hirschenberger with 14 strike outs and 12 strike outs from Kane Bourbina.  The Panthers faced Marquette where they were able to steal 2 wins with Mitch Morley pitching his first no-hitter of the season in the 7-0 win in the first game and 7-6 in the second.  The Panthers kept momentum while going into the double-deader against Owosso with 6-3 and 7-1 wins. Heritage was the first team in the season to deal the panthers a loss when they were able to hold the panthers to zero runs in the first game loss of 0-4 and four runs in the 4-9 loss in the second game. The panthers are currently ranked number two in the state in Division Three Baseball and are this weeks featured team of the week in the Saginaw area.
