Lent Season

The choice to observe Lent is a personal one—the idea is to focus your heart and mind on Jesus during the time leading up to Easter. Whether you observe Lent in a small or major way, you’ll be amazed at what happens when you devote a part of each day to reflecting on Jesus Christ and God’s Word.

What are your Lenten promises were this year?

Senior Class:

Ryan Fila gave up Starbucks and wants to attend the gym more.
Cam Fluder gave up pop and all sweets.
Jason Russell gave up fast food along with Sadie Benjamen and Alisandro Rodriguez.
Payton Hirschenburg gave up watching Netflix.
Jacob Gray wants to try and drink less Koolaid.
Alexa Wright and Laurel Jacqmain both gave up eating candy.

Junior Class:

Miguel Monroy gave up drinking pop.
Tyler Sprague gave up playing basketball.
Garret Marino wants to do more leg exercises.
Jacob Preston gave up eating sweets and watching Netflix.
Conner Lipinski gave up lifting heavy weights, while Matt Sullivan gave up benching and squatting. Both want to focus more on their arms.

Sophomore Class:
Peter Snyder gave up candy and the popsicles at lunch.
Isaiah Rosales wants to try and eat less fast food.
Jeff Mann gave up the cookies at lunch.
Sierra Rietz gave up eating candy.

Freshman Class:
Jimmy Benkert wants to try and avoid fast food.
Jacob Burr gave up all sweets.
Mrs. Adelman is trying to pray more for all of the Nouvel students.
Mr. Szym wants to drink less Tim Horton coffee, and donate more time to the parish.
Mr. Franklin plans on reading more scripture.
