The boys Varsity Baseball team is off to a great start with a sweeping victory in their first double header against Carrolton. It was lights out pitching in the first game by senior Payton Hirschenberger who had 11 strikeouts though five innings. Senior Mitch Morley took the mound for the second game where he gave up three runs in five innings and was relieved by Junior Matt Bartels. The bats were slow to get going for the Panthers in the second game where they were scoreless though the first three innings where they were able to drive in their first run in the bottom of the fourth, the panthers were then held off again until the bottom of the seventh where they scored three runs with a walk-off single by Payton Hirschenberger. The Panthers next match-up is today against Frankenmuth at home, they also have another home doubleheader against Michigan Lutheran Seminary on the 16th.
