Exam time is here and the stressful nights are starting. There are good and bad ways when it comes to studying for exams. It is important to keep in mind that there are many different ways to study for an exam, and it is your job to figure out which one can help you the most. Please take a few minutes to read this article and for some help on your exams.

1. Flashcards- Flashcards are a great way to study for an exam, because there are times when you need to memorize a lot terms. Do you have a math class where you need to memorize many equations? Put the name of the equation on one side and the actual equation on the other side. Go through the cards over and over making a pile of the ones you know and the ones you need to spend some more time on.

2. Going over Past Tests and Quizzes- No teacher wants you to fail their exam. So a lot of times, they base their exam on information you have already seen on past tests or quizzes. Therefore it is a good idea to go over some of your past assignments to prepare yourself for the upcoming exam.

3. Read over notes- This is one of the most important things you can do. Teachers give you notes for a reason, so use them. It helps if you read them aloud or copy them over again.

4. DO NOT CRAM- This is the number one problem students have, because they wait for the day before the exam to study. This is not a good decision because you need multiple days to learn this information and keep it fresh in your mind.

5. Time management- Time management is key to a good exam score. You have easy exams and hard exams, so obviously study a little more for the ones you know you will struggle with and a little less time on the ones you know will be easy. Also, know that is not a good idea to study for one subject hours on end. Spend a reasonable amount of time studying and make sure to take a break and relax for a while afterwards.
