Seven o’clock on Friday, April 10, 2015 will be the tip off for the annual Hoops for the Homeless charity basketball game. Competing in the game will be students, staff, parents and alumni of Nouvel Catholic Central High School and Bay City All Saints High School. Both schools have had a number of fundraisers leading up to the event, and have already raised a ton of money to support the City Rescue Mission of Saginaw and the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission of Bay City. The fundraisers here at Nouvel that have taken place thus far include the Pancake Breakfast on February 28, Bake Sale during the week of February 23, and NCCE Fish Fry Bake Sale on March 6 and March 13. Up and coming fundraisers at Nouvel will include the money raised by the March Madness Bracket Contest from NCC Panther Print, a T-shirt sale starting March 25 and continuing until the event, a Jean Day for NCCHS on April 9, and more! Doors will open to Delta College’s Pioneer Gym at 5:45 p.m. with a middle school warm up game at 6 p.m. One ticket will be $5.00 at the door, along with a plethora of vendors surrounding the event. Winning the High School game will earn the “Traveling Trophy,” and bragging rights for a year. Make sure to come out, raise awareness, and support your panthers!
