Wrestling Update

As the season comes to a close, our boys wrestling team had hoped to make a run in the playoffs. Districts for the team started Thursday February 6th at New Lothrop where they looked to capture their 2nd District Championship in 4 years. The team hopes were dashed, but Individual playoffs start this Saturday with our own Austin Hughes hoping to get another shot at States. At Regionals, Austin hopes to compete a successful four year run. Every year he has competed here at Nouvel he has made a run at an individual State title, and with only two losses on the regular season he expects to carry his momentum to victory. Said Hughes,  “I think my 3 years of experience will be a huge advantage” .
