Lady Panthers Overcome Tough Start

The season opener for girls varsity basketball was on Tuesday, December 3  against Bullock creek. The panthers fought hard but lost in the end with the score being 43-33. The panthers were led by sophomore Laurel Jacqmain with 14 points while senior Rachel McInerney added six points and nine rebounds. This was Coach Jones first game as the Panther’s head coach and everyone is excited to see what he brings to the team this season. The lady panthers took on Clare December 10 winning 57-37. Rachel McInerney was the high scorer with 19 points. Laurel Jacqmain added 14 points and Lindsey Stroebel chipped in with 10 points. On Monday the team played at Chandler Park Academy and won 45-39. Laurel Jacqumain led with 17 points and Nicole Buckingham added 12.  Everyone is excited to see where the lady panthers will go this season. Their next home game is December 20 at 7:00 p.m. as they take on Bay City John Glenn. Everyone come out and support!
