Panther Basketball on the PROWL

With the basketball team bringing home a District Championship last year, this season the gentlemen are setting their goals even higher. With new additions including senior Steven Topham and sophmore Garrett Graham the team will be able to replace one of their main players from last year Tony Purifoy.  Coach Roberts will be leading the panthers from the bench, with new additions to the staff including Coach H, who used to coach at Arthur Hill. While senior David Buko will be sitting out this season to focus on Golf, returning seniors Joe Buchalski ,Ty Jacobs, Zach Collins, Nick Hammis, Trevor Bohnoff and Josh Buchalski will be back to help lead the team to victory. “ This group of seniors have been playing with each other the past two years, so we know our strong points, and how to help strenghthen our weaknesses,” stated Senior Ty Jacobs. Jacobs also had a huge year last year while leading the team as the top scorer. Jacobs was even recognized as having the most 3 pointers in the state. “I like to make big plays from beyond the arc, but I’m planning on taking my game to a new level and being able to take the ball to the hole more,” added Jacobs. With Jacobs and a strong senior core leading the panthers, the team should have no problem capturing another district title.
