October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and to honor those who have been affected, Nouvel is raising money, all month through different events for the Seton Hall Institute for Breast Cancer Research. To kick off the month of awareness there will be a can drive beginning during the field day festivities that will run through the end of the month. The week of Oct. 5th-9th there will be Game to Remember t-shirts for sale during both lunches. Oct. 6th there will be a jeans/sweats day with the proceeds going toward NCC families currently battling cancer. Make sure to come out and support the Volleyball and Varsity Football teams as they host their Games to Remember Thursday the 8th and Friday the 9th. There will be multiple fundraising opportunities at both events including a balloon launch, bake sale and auction.

The following week the PR class will have a “Sweets” sale Thursday and Friday with pink themed sweets available to purchase. Powder Puff practices will also begin during this week so check the daily announcements for details. The Powder Puff game is scheduled for October 23rd and “pink fun” items will be sold during the game. The can drive will also end on the 23rd. The final week of October NCC will have a Pink Out Day tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, October 27th. Prizes will be awarded for the students that show the most “Pink” spirit. Show your support for this cause all month long and keep in prayer those who are currently battling breast cancer and those who have lost loved ones to this terrible disease.
