Netflix’s series, Outer Banks, revolves around adventure and treasure hunting. Starting with season one being released in 2020, it stars Chase Stokes as John B, Madeline Cline as Sarah Cameron, Rudy Pankow as JJ, Madison Bailey as Kiara, and Jonathan Daviss as Pope. These five people make up the group everyone calls the Pogues, who live in the poor part of the Outer Banks called the cut. They get into constant altercations with the rich people on figure eight called the Kooks over the treasure they are trying to find. The fight to find the treasure is what makes the series exciting and adventurous.

All three seasons of this series revolves around trying to find the treasure, which is the gold. Throughout the seasons, the Pogues face many obstacles from the Kooks, the police, and Sarah’s family, the Cameron’s. They face many near death experiences on their journey and meet new people on the way. At the end of season three, which was released in 2023, we find out if they finally found the gold or lost it to their competitors.

The plot of this series made it an excellent watch. It was very unpredictable and left you in suspense a lot. For example, the last scene at the end of season two left you wishing season three came out right away so that you could see what happened. The chemistry between the actors, especially between the Pogues, also brings this series to life and makes it seem like it is more real.

I would recommend Outer Banks to anyone who likes a drama filed adventure story. I really enjoyed this series and each season left me wishing for another one. This series is worth your time, and if you choose to watch it, you won’t regret it.
