As a Catholic, we are challenged to go through the season of Lent. We are expected to give something up, try harder at something, or try something new for 40 days to join ourselves to the trial of Jesus, during the 40 days he spent in the desert. A Lenten promise can be practiced in many ways, it’s just supposed to be something that reminds you of the sacrifices that Jesus had to go through. I asked some fellow students what their Lenten promise is, and these are their responses.

Marinna Collison: Starbucks.

Audrey Hirschman: candy and is trying to attend Church more.

Reece Kenny: Instagram and drinking pop.

Hayden Simerson: swearing.

Dylan Kingsbury: hot showers and is only taking cold ones for the 40 days.

Mrs. Jacqmain: her, and her family gave up screens after dinner, and personally she has been on a prayer journey, where she prays the rosary every day, and eating 3 meals a day, with no snacks in between.
