Donating to Save Lives

The National Honor Society of Nouvel Catholic Central hosted their September blood drive on Tuesday, September 21. The blood drive took place from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Nouvel gym. Donor’s willingly came to donate their blood to Versiti Donor Center, who then gave the blood to a blood bank . After the donors gave a pint of blood, they received cookies, juice, a peanut butter sandwich, and water. In total, there were twenty-eight donors with fifteen of them being students ages sixteen and older. When Junior Lydia Jacobs ’23 was asked why she wanted to give blood, she said, “It was a good way to give back to the community and help people in need.” National Honor Society’s next blood drive will be held at the same time and place on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
