The 2019 Oscars was held on Friday, April 5th in the Nouvel PAC. The event was sponsored by Student Government and hosted by Nouvel seniors Logan Marino, Brianna Greene, Joey Messana, and Jade Patel.  Said Marino,”At first I wasn’t sure about hosting but, I’m so happy that I decided too.” The Nouvel student body had a great turnout at the event and enjoyed comedy and spectacular talent from their very own friends and classmates. Senior Joe Sanchez stated, “It was funny, Billy Buchalski’s stand up comedy made my whole entire night!”

One other highlight of the night was the return of the old nutrition, health, and fitness teacher Scott Frankland. During his unexpected appearance, he was faced with a tough question all students were dying to know, who was his favorite student? Mr. Franklin didn’t respond to the question leaving the student body left to wonder.  The night wrapped with the first ever post-Oscars dance, hosted by the National Honor’s Society.
