The Lady Panthers lost in overtime 50-42 to Michigan Lutheran Seminary in the first round of Districts last night. The game marked a tough end to an otherwise stellar season. The ladies finished with a record of 14-7 but ended the regular season with a tough loss against Garber. Nouvel led 20-13 at halftime, but Seminary fought back to take a 30-26 lead into the fourth quarter. The teams were tied in the final minute of regular play, but free throws and missed opportunities made the difference in overtime. “We’re a young team and you learn by going through situations,” Nouvel coach John Wilson said. “This was a tough situation, and I believe we learned from it.”
Senior Micaela Lewis made first team all-state for the TVC West and Senior Jade Patel made second team all-state. Honorable mentions included Sophomores Catherine Buko, Autumn Skowronski, and Isabelle Patel.
