Get Involved: Clubs at NCC

At Nouvel there is many clubs and organizations that anyone can get involved with these include National Honor Society, Drama Club, Quiz Bowl, and Science Olympiad.

N.H.S.

National honor society or NHS is a club for juniors and seniors. In order to be apart of NHS you need a 3.5 or higher GPA and  number of service hours. NHS is involved with dances, blood drives, hospitality, communication, and tutoring. The dances they organize are the Halloween and Valentines day dances. They have three blood drives each year, this year they are, September 25, December 11, and March 26. They are involved with the PASS program, the PASS program is tutoring after school so students can play sports.

Drama Club

Drama Club is a way for students to express themselves through theater, so far they haven’t announced the fall play.

Quiz Bowl 

Quiz Bowl is a Jeopardy like club for students who know a lot of subjects and are fast with buzzers.

Science Olympiad 

Science Olympiad is a club where students build and perfect their designs and do other science related activities. Students compete against different schools in 23 science based events. Our Science Olympiad has made states at MSU 7 years in a row.

Student Government

Student Government is comprised of students from each grade, they speak for each grade in decisions regarding various events throughout the year.  Student Government helps organizing themes for Homecoming, planning Oscars towards the end of the year, activities during assemblies, as well as Catholic Schools week.  Students from each grade vote at the end of the year for the following years’ representatives, multiple people will be elected according to votes. Class advisers are Mrs.Adelman for the Freshman, Ms. Kendziorski for Sophomores, Mrs. Walker for Juniors, and Mrs. Chaltraw for the Seniors. Student Government meets frequently throughout the school year.

Spirit Club

Spirit Club is open to any student at Nouvel.  The Spirit Club works to support student sections at games along with the themes, and organizing other activities.  The Panther mascot also makes appearances at games and activities organized by the Spirit Club. Spirit Club is set up by Mrs. Adelman and meets as needed throughout the school year.

Students for Life

Students for life is a club that is dedicated to the pro-life stance that is present in our Community. The goal is to awareness and speak against issues such as euthanasia, and abortion.  Activities that Students for Life are involved with include praying at the local Abortion Clinic, pro-life demonstrations, and a Vigil on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade.  Students for life is advised and organized by Mrs. Bridget Jacqmain

S.A.D.D.

SADD or Students Against Destructive Decisions is a club that meets twice a month and organizes events that include Drinking and Driving Prevention, Prayer service, Suicide Prevention, Anti-texting and Driving Presentation, as well as Assemblies throughout the school year.  The club is set up and organized by Mrs. Chaltraw.
