The Nouvel boys basketball team started off their season at St. Charles high school where they fell short and were not as prepared as they could have been as a result of only a week of practice following the Football State Championship game. The panthers lost key players from last years squad and are still trying to find a way to click on both sides of the game. When asked about the season, senior Peter Snyder stated “We are still finding a way to get the ball moving in the second half, we’ve struggled with that thus far but are looking to pick it up on the next few games to come. Continuing on, the boys then played Valley Lutheran with a stellar first half before falling short in the second taking them to their second loss of the season. Our boys also went down to play Meridian resulting in a 54-45 loss. Moving forward, the boys will play Cabrini on Friday night and Freeland on January 3rd. Come out and cheer on your Nouvel Boys Basketball team as they look to pick up where they left off on last years stellar season.
