Nouvel competed in the District championship game this past Friday and it was a thriller to say the least. The Panthers started out strong with Peter Snyder taking a 10 yard slant all the way for a touchdown on the second play of the game. Although it was Nouvel starting out ahead early, Harbor Beach fought back and was up 26-14 with less than 10 minutes to play in the fourth quarter. Senior quarterback Tate Hauseback drove the team down the field twice in the final minutes and threw two touchdown passes both to Kenny Kujawa. Kujawa also came up with the final interception to seal the deal. The Panthers are district champions now, but are looking toward tonight with a Regional Championship matchup against Lincoln-Alcona. They are known for their two running backs who both finished the season with over 1000 rushing yards and this is their first RegionalĀ appearance ever. Make sure you come out to support the Panthers at their last home game this season– It is a Blue Out.
