“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past” (The Great Gatsby) as we leave behind one dazzling night. As the girls wake up at a reasonable time to begin what seems to be an elaborate process, and the boys wait 30 minutes to start getting ready before they leave, the day begins.

For most, the night started off with groups of friends, taking pictures to capture the memories. After a late change in venue, shortly following pictures, all students graciously attended mass at St. John Vianny. Right from mass, the well-dressed men and women headed over to Swan Valley Banquet Center for dinner and the dance. When asked how the venue was, senior Emily Felton said, “The venue decorations were extravagant, I really liked the look of the centerpieces….every detail fit the theme really well.” Not only was there dinner and a dance, but also a photo booth where the students used fun props to create endless memories. Students also had the option to get a professional picture done by Hicks Studio.

At around 11:30 pm, everyone started heading out and were given 45 minutes to change and grab a quick bit before they would have to be at Kokomos. The night/morning consisted of corn hole, laser tag, put-put-golf, a rollercoaster, go-carts, arcade games, raffles, and even pizza. Ian Flores says the night as a whole was, “Bittersweet. It was fun. I had a good tie with my friends and over all a great night.” With bobby pins on the dance floor, sweaty shirts, tired eyes, and cold hands, the night ended. To the Juniors, thank you for putting on an unforgettable night.
