The Nouvel Catholic Central Oscar Awards tradition has continued and been a success once again. The Oscars is the time for students to vote for their peers and teachers to receive specific awards. The awards pertain to the students most with Oscars such as “Best Dressed,” “Mr./Mrs. Congeniality,” “Trendsetter,” etc. These awards are also a great showcase for students to display their talents as specific talent acts will be performed throughout the performance. On the night of May 11th the Oscars took place and were a huge success. The breakthrough Freshman awards went to Sam Buckingham and Riley Cho. The All-Star/ School Spirit Awards went to Anna Buko and Garrett Marino. Hosts Paolo Diola, Blake Drumhiller, and Noah Robertson gave a humorous and tasteful performance that left the audience laughing and entertained. The Oscars of 2k17 were great and will continue to be a tradition at Nouvel.
