Senior Christmas Project

With the Christmas season upon us, Nouvel students are encouraged to give back. In that spirit, the senior class  has taken on a special project. We will be traveling to Francis Reh Elementary School on Friday the 18th to spend a few hours with their Kindergarten and 1st Grade classes. This is the second year in a row that the Senior class has picked this particular project.  Each student in the senior class has chosen a child from Francis Reh, and picked out a coloring book and crayons for them as a gift. Other students have also planned fun Christmas themed activities for the kids to participate in, like bingo and various crafts. The students will also receive a snack and drink provided by the senior class. Mrs. Speaker, the teacher who organized the event, says she is, “Very excited for the event,” and that, “all of the extensive planning will be worth it when the students see the smiles of the children.” The teachers at Francis Reh say it is the highlight of the kids Christmas season. This opportunity allows the senior class to see the effect their act of kindness can do to a child, after all, giving is with the Christmas season is all about.
