Driving in a Christmas Wonderland

Nothing beats driving around town at night and looking at all the Christmas lights on the neighborhood houses. Especially when it’s snowing. So far there is not a single flake to be found this Christmas, but there are plenty of lights. All around Saginaw there are so many wonderful lights, but there are a few displays that stand out among the rest. I started out driving through my own neighborhood, Maple Woods East, where the whole neighborhood puts white lights on the trees lining the road making it feel like a winter wonderland. I went down Hemmeter Road and found many small but, adorable light displays. Then I headed towards Golf Side and visited Bishop Cistone’s beautiful house decorated with sparkling lights and of course, The Manger Scene. There were a number of houses in Golf Side that caught my attention, especially the house on the corner of Gratiot and Golfview. Even the Sawmill had their share of colorful trees. But the house that stole the show was in Fox Glen off of Mackinaw Road. As if six blow up Santas and singing snowmen weren’t enough, they even have Christmas music to go along with their spectacular light show. Everyone should go check out this house before the holidays are over. Just take a drive around the neighborhood and trust me, you cant miss it. With so many lights up this season its hard to visit them all, so take a drive with your own family and try to find the houses I’ve selected and pick out a couple favorites of your own, it’s a perfect way to enjoy the holidays.
