Science Olympiad Team 2013-2014

Last time we discussed three great groups to get involved with here at NCC: SADD, Students for Life, and Student Government. But there are even more wonderful organizations open to students at Nouvel.

Spirit Club: This club regularly meets on Wednesdays to make colorful signs and posters to display around the school and at sporting events. If you wish to join see Mrs. Reitz for more details.

Spanish Club: This club is known for their vibrant attire and presence at the Homecoming parade. In addition, the group puts on many fundraisers throughout the year like their morning hot chocolate sales.

Science Olympiad: This group is open to anyone interested in taking their love of science to the next level. They regularly compete in competitions around the state, in which two-person groups take a test in a subject of their choice. There is a meeting this week, Thursday (11/6) after school.

Forensics: The Forensics team contends at two events and the regional competition each year. Contestants practice then perform a public speaking or dramatic interpretation piece (poem etc.). Involvement in this group looks good on college applications so make sure to join if interested. The season begins in March, see Mrs. Adelman for more details.
