Get Involved Nouvel!

There are many ways to get involved after school rather than just the typical extracurricular, sports. Here is a quick recap of what a few clubs occupy their time with throughout the school year.

Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD): This group aims to combat a wide variety of high school problems like drunk driving. Each year SADD has a different theme or focus, this year’s focus is on cyber awareness. This theme was displayed on the SADD float in this year’s homecoming parade, with the slogan “Keep it off the net” as the theme was intertwined with the Saginaw Spirit. In addition to Homecoming, SADD puts together a winter project each year and also helps with Prom.

Students For Life: These dedicated Pro-Lifers make frequent visits to the abortion clinic off of Bay to pray and voice their feelings on the injustice that is abortion. In addition, they recently took time to write Pro-life quotes and information around the school with sidewalk chalk. This group also attends the Right to Life dinner, held annually at Horizons Conference Center.

Student Government: In order to join this organization, one must apply for election and get elected to either the House of Representatives or the Senate. The House handles affairs with their individual class, working with their class advisor. While the Senate works together to coordinate school-wide events. Student Government is primarily responsible for putting together Homecoming week events and coordinating Oscars.
