Fall is here. The season full of colorful leaves changing and falling, big sweaters, brisk weather, and the smell of pumpkin spice and sweet cinnamon apple candles burning. Fall, the time of year when school is just beginning, homecoming is arriving, football season, and doing fun fall festivities. There is just something about this time of year that is so cozy and admirable. If you find yourself bored this fall, here are five things to do to enjoy the season.
#1. Visit an Apple Farm
There are a few good Apple Farms in the area such as Leamans, Baynes, and Johnson’s. Walking around in the brisk fall air with colorful leaves falling while shopping at craft shows and enjoying some kettle corn and apple deserts is always a fun way to spend the afternoon with loved ones. Not only do apple farms offer delicious treats but also fun activities such as Hay rides and maize’s.
#2. Go to a Pumpkin Patch
There is no better way to celebrate the fall season than going pumpkin picking with your friends or family. Carving and decorating pumpkins is always a fun way to stay busy during the fall season while showing off your crafty and creative side.
#3. Running a fall 5K/ Crop Walk
Running a fall 5K such as the Bridge Race in Frankenmuth on October 4th is a great way to stay active during the fall season while taking in the beautiful colorful scenery. Another way to stay active and enjoy the fall scenery would be participating in the annual Crop Walk in downtown Saginaw to support and raise money for the hungry.
#4. Go up north
There are a variety of fun fall festivities to experience up north such as Michigan Fall Color Tours. These tours consist of different trails to solely take in the beauty of the fall scenery such as the changing leaves.
#5. Horse and Carriage/Hay Ride
A horse and carriage ride can be a very peaceful but fun activity to do in the fall. In fact, in Frankenmuth you can take a horse and carriage ride at any time of the year. Although a horse and carriage ride can be especially beautiful and breathtaking during the fall season with the colorful scenery.
