Congratulations to the Lady Panthers on their Class C state championship. They took on St. Ignace at Michigan State’s Breslin Center last Saturday. By halftime Nouvel was leading 23-22. They came out strong in the second half, the final score being 62-40. Rachel McInerney led with 22 points and 23 rebounds while Laurel Jacqmain finished with 20 points.The Lady Panthers started first round of districts playing Breckenridge at Breckenridge.The girls worked hard winning 69-25. Laurel Jacqmain scored 17 points and Maddie Graham added 11 points. The Panthers played Hemlock for the Class C district championship. Laurel Jacqmain lead the team with 19 points and six rebounds and Rachel McInerney followed with 17 points and 11 rebounds. They defeated the Huskies 58-43. Regionals were held in Sandusky where the team travelled to take on Reese. Rachel McInerney scored 19 points, 15 of which she scored in the second half. She also dominated the boards with 15 rebounds. Laurel Jacqmain helped with 13 points. Nouvel won 51-40. For the regional championship game the team played Sandusky. After starting out slow, the Panthers won 47-35.  Laurel Jacqmain lead the team with 21 points and Rachel McInerney added 13 points. Heading to semifinals at Reese meant a much shorter bus ride for the girls. They took  on St. Louis on Tuesday night.  The Lady Panthers came out with the win of 57-52. A big congratulations to Rachel McInerney for scoring her 1000th career point. She led the team with 19 points and 13 rebounds. The girls headed  to the Breslin for the semifinal game against the Gobles. Laurel Jacqmain scored 20 points They came out with the win of 47-35, heading back to the Breslin for the state championship game. Great season ladies!

There will be an assembly Thursday, March 20th at 11:15AM to celebrate our Lady Panthers!
