NHS: Serving The Community

On February 15, a few of the National Honor Society students volunteered their time to visit residents at Roosevelt’s House Assisted Living. The Roosevelt House is a premium, home-away-from-home assisted living community in Hemlock, MI.
The students were dismissed from school early to go visit the 9 residents. The students played games and got to know all the residents at the Roosevelt house. Senior, Audrey Hirschman said “It was really nice meeting all the residents and I enjoyed playing games with all of them. I hope to go back soon.” The NHS student theme this year is “out in the community” and this is another great way students are serving others within their community. Next month more students will go back to the Roosevelt house to meet with all of the residents.
