As the season continues to gain momentum, the Nouvel Girls Soccer team has really been coming together. The team has competed against five teams. The teams were Freeland, Garber, Swan Valley, Calvary Baptist, and John Glenn. They lost four of those five games, only beating Calvary Baptist 1-0, but the record doesn’t matter. What really matters is how the girls are coming together as an overall unit. Said Junior midfielder, Jade Patel, “In the beginning of the year it was a little rough because half of our team was new and never competed. But since then, we are actually coming together and becoming a real team. The more we bond, the more we are able to focus on technique, skills and really learn what we have to do. We are super close which makes it easier to play with one another. We are all happy and excited to play and that is all that matters, not our record or skill.” After a cold and snowy early season, the team is focused on getting out there and having fun. The next game is coming up on May 1st at home. Make sure to come support. Go Panthers!
