NCC celebrated Catholic Schools Week, an event that happens every year to celebrate the Catholic education, last week to help kick off the start of a new semester. Every year there is a national theme and this year the theme was Communities of Faith, Knowledge, and Service. On Monday, it  was a throwback Catholic schools spirit day, so students were able to show off their feeder school pride. Students also took part in making posters for the 8th grade open house held later that night. Tuesday was a half day schedule which included a movie of the students choice along with a snack of popcorn and a cookie. The third day was the most creative day which was twin day. There were many cool ideas that people came up with including Elizabeth Card and Madison Velez which were matching head to toe with everything. On Thursday, the high school went over to NCCE to celebrate mass. Alex Dwan mentioned, “it was a fun Mass there was a good connection between the younger and the older kids”. Lastly  Friday, was an all out spirit day culminating in a Family Feud style assembly at the end of the day where the Seniors beat out the Sophomores for top class competition points. Overall, the week was a great time for Nouvel!
