Science Olympiad is a competition designed to test a student’s knowledge about various scientific subjects as well as their teamwork skills. Students are asked to make directions that teammates must follow to create a structure as well as take collage level tests on subjects. Our Nouvel team prepared for this competition by going to practice competitions in Clio and Frankenmuth before the Regional in February. At the Regional competition at Delta Collage novel placed 2nd and moved on to the State competition in Lansing. At States Nouvel took 29th and received the most improved award as they moved up from 47th last year. Nouvel was one of only 4 small schools and of those smaller schools Nouvel took second. Coaches Mr and Mrs Rangitsch have been coaching Science Olympiad for years with help from Mr. Bradtke. The highest ranking Nouvel students were the power couple Phil Rangitsch and Emily Sapak.
