Joe Mott Qualifies for Nationals!

Last Saturday senior, Joe Mott participated  in the Iron Man Competition through the United States Power Lifting Association (USLPA). The meet took place in Port Huron where Joe squatted, benched, and deadlifted.  Joe Mott predicted that he would squat 520lbs, bench 375 lbs., and dead lift 585 lbs.  This was one of Joe’s most important meets because it determined whether he would qualify for the National meet in Dallas, Texas.  Joe ended up squatting 515, benching 375, and deadlifting 590.  H had a total weight of 1580 lbs., and took 4th overall,  qualifying him for Nationals on June 18th.  Said Mott, ” I feel excited and I am ready to redeem myself since I disqualified at the State Meet”.  Congratulations, Joe! Your dedication and persistence has truly paid off!
