OFFENSE
Quarterback Ian Ziegelmann is not new to varsity football playing both freshman and sophomore year. He is ready to take the starting quarterback position and is looking forward to the upcoming season. When asked about the season with the absence of many talented players from last years team, he said, “I believe that this is a great opportunity for me, we have a lot of weapons offensively on our team, and while people say we lost all of our skill players last year in Preston, Tristen, Tony, Matthew, and some others, we have really talented players stepping into those roles and I can’t wait. Preston was obviously a very good quarterback here and they are definitely going to be big shoes to fill.”
Running Back John Carlson (jr.) is a 3 year varsity player and is taking over the running back position from Tony Kamano. The Panthers will have a nice one-two punch at the running back position with Owen Vance (so.).
Wide Receiver 1 Parker Kingsbury (so.) is an excellent wide receiver. Following Tristan Elizalde’s and Matthew Hartwell’s performance in last year’s season will be tough but Kingsbury is up for it.
Wide Receiver 2 Sean Foley
Wide Receiver 3 Drew Carlson
Tight End Lance Karwat
Left Tackle Jack Wilson
Left Guard Alex Kamano
Center Frank Gorzela
Right Guard Christian Lopez
Right Tackle Jason Scherrer
The Offensive line should be great this year, with multiple returning starters.
