When, Where:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Saginaw County CROP Walk will be Sunday, October 9 at 1:30pm, beginning at the YMCA.\u00a0 The Walk is a 3-mile loop with a rest stop at Holy Family Catholic Church.\u00a0 Walkers can do the loop once or twice.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Walker Goal for NCC:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since this is the 40th anniversary of the walk, “I\u2019d like to get at least 40 walkers from Nouvel” said Mrs Colucci. (If a Nouvel student gets his or her family\/friends out there and they get some sponsors, I\u2019ll count all of those family members\/friends as NCC walkers.)\u00a0 If their are more than 40 or more walkers, the walkers will get a jean day.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

What to do if you want to walk:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Students or staff who want to walk should talk to me so I know that they are walking.\u00a0\u00a0 At that time, Mrs. Colucci will give them a sponsor form\/envelope and info about creating an account for online donations.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Getting sponsors:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mrs. Colucci will give walkers a sponsor envelope that they can use to for donations.\u00a0 No amount is too small or large.\u00a0 (When I was in college, I raised $400 for a Hunger Walk, mostly on $2 – $5 donations.)\u00a0 I ask my friends and neighbors to sponsor me and then email my family that is out of town and post a link on Facebook too.<\/p>\n

Getting donations online:<\/strong><\/p>\n

People who want to get sponsors online can create an account by selecting the Register option at the top of the page at www.crophungerwalk.org\/saginawmi\/ncc.\u00a0\u00a0 This is the NCC team page that I created, and all walkers who create accounts should join the team so NCC gets credit for their donations.\u00a0 This is a great way to hit up relatives and family friends who live out of town.\u00a0 Note:\u00a0 Any walker who raises $150 online by September 26 will get a free CROP Walk t-shirt.<\/p>\n

This is important!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

People who donate online can also designate that the non-local part of their donation goes to a specific agency.\u00a0 (Some may want to designate Catholic Relief Services.)\u00a0 The person would write Catholic Relief Services in the Alternate Agency box on the credit card info page.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
