Staff Writer<\/em><\/p>\n When we think of graduation we usually think if the traditional cap and gown ceremony, but there is a little known ceremony called the Baccalaureate. This is a mass ceremony that originated at Oxford in the 15th century. Here at Nouvel, it is used to to remind graduates of their accomplishments and provide them with\u00a0bit of spiritual wisdom for their future. The ceremony usually lasts a couple of hours, beginning with a formal mass, and followed by dinner and an awards presentation. It’s normal to have speakers from both the school and the local community.
