Each year, Lake Superior State posts the overused phrases and words they think should be banned from ever being said again. In honor of this, we\u00a0decieded to post our own words that have gone through Nouvel in 2012… And do not need to continue into 2013.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n YOLO \u2013 You Only Live Once \u2013 used as a term to tell someone said thing that is being done is somewhat scary but it is worth the risk. \u201cShould I skip school or not? YOLO\u201d<\/p>\n Grub \u2013 Verb – to eat excessively in one sitting; to feast; \u201cdo you want to go grub at B-Dubs?\u201d<\/p>\n Keep calm and\u2026 – an annoying saying that is used wrongly many times, to tell people not to worry and do the word that it\u00a0is followed by. \u201cKeep calm and graduate\u201d<\/p>\n Celebrity couples name combination \u2013 ex. Brangleina, Kimye. They are dumb and pointless, just use their real names!<\/p>\n You mad bro? \u2013 \u00a0to intimidatingly ask someone if they are angry because of something you said to hurt that persons feelings. \u201cYour sister is hot, You mad bro?\u201d<\/p>\n I die (ed) (ing) \u2013 to express laughter to the fullest extent. \u201coh my gosh when I saw her fall, I died!!\u201d<\/p>\n Cray \u2013 another word for crazy, enthusiastic, mentally deranged. \u201cthat girl is cray.\u201d<\/p>\n Douces \u2013 to say goodbye, referring to the two fingers put up when saying \u201cPeace\u201d \u201cYo bro I gotta go, douces.\u201d<\/p>\n Fail \u2013 to not succeed at something, usually proceeded by epic, to horribly not accomplish the goal you were trying to do. \u201cThat was an epic fail.\u201d<\/p>\n All hockey words \u2013 ex. Chel, waterbotski, celly, bender, snitz. Normal words that are changed to sound cool but they really are not. \u201cbro, I was playing chel and I got this sick waterbotski because I stole it from this bender right before our goalie snitzed it so I went and did a huge celly.\u201d<\/p>\n Swag \u2013 to show coolness, to be cool, to have nice things and good clothing, Nick Hammis. \u201cyo bro you got some real swag going right now.\u201d<\/p>\n Speaking symbols ex. # (Hashtag) >(Greater than) \u2013 saying something that is on a social network to express something. \u201cWow this slurpee is Greater than sign everything right now.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" C.J.
