The Nouvel Girl\u2019s Varsity Soccer team is doing exceptionally well this season, clenching the top spot in the TVC West\u00a0with an\u00a0overall record of 7-2-2.<\/span><\/p>\n

In their recent matchup against Millington, the Lady Panthers came out the gate strong, scoring three goals in the first seven minutes of the opening whistle. Sterling Solek and Iris Patel each scored two goals apiece for Nouvel; with Mackenzie Sprague contributing a single. \u201cOur defense and goaltending continue to be our greatest strength, as today\u2019s score shows,\u201d Nouvel coach Matthew Solek commented. \u201cIt can be hard to get an offense rolling in the rain but we passed well near the crease today and it aid off. We are now headed into a hard part of the schedule. It\u2019s good to have some momentum.\u201d<\/p>\n

Their\u00a0previous matchups\u00a0versus Hemlock (May 6th) and Standish (May 9); resulted in shutout\u00a0victories for both. Coached by Matt Solek, the team is is led by ten returning Seniors, including captains Alexis Yatch, Sterling Solek and Mackenzie Sprague as well as Junior captain Iris Patel.<\/p>\n

The Panthers will face the undefeated Valley Lutheran Chargers on May 21st. After a tie in their earlier season face off, the game will decide the Tri-Valley Conference championship.<\/p>\n

Said fellow Junior Emilee Rosenberg, \u201cWe\u2019re doing very well and putting in a lot of work for this season,\u00a0 we\u2019re working well as a team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nouvel will play against Heritage tonight, at 7:30 P.M. under the lights at the Saginaw Soccer Complex.<\/p>\n
